I don't know where the comment about canned laughter comes from, especially if it's the earlier series they're talking about. Maybe if you watched VII or VIII you might think the laughter was canned because some of the, shall we say, less good jokes have 'HA HA HA HA HA!!!' over them. Sometimes I think the people at those screenings/studio recordings were out for the day from a mental ward..........he he.
