I really got in to Red Dwarf in 1994 (during the full repeat run). That's over a decade of avidly following this show.
I've lived in my current house since 1991.
Only in the past couple of years did I notice the significance of one of the streets I walk past every bloody day being called Cloister Gardens.
God, I'm slow.
